April 11, 2012: SunPower’s Solar Ranch Kicks Off a Wave of Larger Solar Projects
– San Jose-based solar power company SunPower has begun construction on one of its larger scale projects—California Valley Solar Ranch—in San Luis Obispo, Calif. The solar ranch will cover roughly 2,000 acres, with a capacity of 250 megawatts. In contrast, the largest completed solar ranch in the state is equipped for only 45 megawatts.
